A BIT OF HISTORY
Fenton MI was established in 1834. Named after Clark Dibble, Fenton was then known as Dibbleville, which was said to be one of the town’s first settlers. It was platted in 1837 as Fentonville and incorporated as a village in 1863, which lead to the town’s enduring name of Fenton. Since the 1970s, Fenton, MI has undergone many renovations and expansions, with extensive attention and commitment to restoration in 2011. Today Fenton MI includes several historic buildings and continues to honor its history.
